Every child should have access to education, yet right now over one fifth of primary school-aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa are out of school.
So They Can is an international non-profit organisation that works with vulnerable communities and their governments in Kenya and Tanzania to educate and empower children and their families out of poverty.
Over a 7-10 year development cycle, So They Can partners with individual communities to understand their needs and implement education and community development projects that will best support them. Throughout the cycle, they develop relationships and ensure transfer of knowledge and management skills to ensure the sustainability of the projects. This enables So They Can to shift into a governance role, expanding their focus and core resources to help other vulnerable communities.
So They Can is fully accredited by The Australian Goverment (DFAT) and partners with 51 schools, delivering quality education to over 32,000 students.
